“Having celebrated our 15th Anniversary throughout 2010, it is is fitting that we kick off 2011 with two fresh updates of seminal Ovum releases, from David Alvarado and Luca Bacchetti.”

French music website Goute Mes Disques featured recent Two:2010 mix on their site. Great write up, have a look (use Google translator if your french isn’t up to par) and have a listen.

Griid by Liine is rumored to be another John Acquaviva/ Richie Hawtin venture is now out and I must say my initial take on it is “brilliant”. A very fluid interactive way to control your Ableton Live set. It falls short of the “wow factor say something like the bridge from the Starship Enterprise, but none the less exciting and effective. I’m hoping to incorporate this into a live set that I’m putting together for the next tour. Will keep you posted and hopefully have some video up soon.

Just finishing up a remix for Francois Dubois aka Funk d’void track “Tenori” soon to be release on Urban Torque. I generated the visual effect using Quartz Composer. Enjoy this small taste of what is turning into a 10 min chugger..

So as you know I’ve been on the Traktor/Final Scratch since its inception, and lately (finally) all the control surfaces are finally catching up to the potential of the software itself. I bought the APC to begin formating my sets with Ableton to begin “live” sets or shows spotlighting my body of work as an artist/producer. I thought, why not use it for Traktor? Well here you go, my attempt to map the APC to Traktor in a way that will allow me to take full advantage of the control surface to run Traktor Pro like a 4 deck sequencer with effects, taking my “DJ” sets into a more remix. reconstructive approach.
